Corporate Design, 2008 and 2015

Johann König commissioned Heimann und Schwantes to redesign his gallery’s visual presence. The client asked for a simple and economically applicable system.

We began with the small advertisements that appear in art magazines—the gallery’s most important means of communication—which are intended to function without images. Based on the Univers font, we designed a type family with typeface styles with lines that add upon one another—the “Univers Oignon.”

The design was updated when the gallery moved to St.Agnes Church in Berlin in 2015.
