Talking Cities

The Micropolitics of Urban Space
ENTRY 2006 at Zeche Zollverein, Essen, 2006

In this exhibition curated by Francesca Ferguson, thirty-five artists create a dense collage of statements, designs, and installations in a collective dialogue on the reconfiguration and reactivation of the marginal, residual, and public spaces found in our contemporary cities.

As a part of ENTRY 2006, the international forum on architecture and design, the exhibition is inspired by the transformational nature of the site as well as the surrounding contemporary urban landscape. This collective dialogue on contemporary cityscapes is made visible by means of quotations and statements in the form of graphic strips. The dense nature of the exhibition is intended to create a kind of conceptual bazaar for spatial practice and architecture. Exhibition design by Studio Tilo Fuchs.
